As part of an educational initiative to support rural students from educationally underdeveloped sections of the state, the Government Arts and Science College, Harij was founded in 2016.

The college is associated with Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, and offers two degree programs: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science.

All the members of staff are actively engaged in imparting quality teaching as well as student development programs by conducting variegated activities for students in college.
A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded for completing a program of study in the arts, humanities, social sciences, or related fields.
A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded for completing a program of study in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).
With pride we can say that Government Arts and Commerce College, Sami is an accredited institute. Following the completion of the first cycle of NAAC accreditation, we have secured “B” Grade with 2.12 CGPA. The grade explains about our standards on national level and it is quite a satisfactory achievement.
The main purpose of our institute is not only the employment of the students but to provide education and enlightenment in the younger generation of this region. Education is the unique tool to mould the student intellectually competent, morally upright and socially committed for their economic empowerment.
