With the objective of motivating the students to take up Research and Innovation in the field of Life Sciences, an Open House was organised by the Botany Department of our college, on 23 August 2024. A very enthusiastic response was received, with more than 45 students participating in it. Through out the day, the Botany Lab was buzzing with students who were briefed about different intruments like Binocular and Trinocular Microscopes, Spectrophotometer, pH Meter, Autoclave machine, Centrifuge machine, Oven, Gel-Electrophoresis Unit, Haemocytometer, Weather Station, Chromatography Chamber etc. It was exciting to see that the students also questioned about the working principles behind each and even tried hands-on activities on a few of them.
The event was co-ordinated by the faculties of Botany department: Dr Neha A. Nandkeolyar and Dr Kamlesh S Patel.
